NAHA Coaching and Volunteer Requirements

All requirements must be completed prior to practices starting.

  1. Register as a coach or volunteer with USA HOCKEY at www.usahockey.com/membership (Must have current season’s #)
  2. Complete the USA Hockey BACKGROUND CHECK / SCREENING ONLINE (Must be completed every other year) www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen
  3. 

Complete the USA HOCKEY SAFESPORT ONLINE COURSE – (Must be completed or refreshed every year) FREE – Click Here   **NOTE: SafeSport consists of a 3-course online training-ALL 3 courses must be completed.
  4. Complete the CDC Concussion Management Course – (Must be completed every other year)​ FREE – Click Here Email the completion certificate to the Hockey Office. 
  5. Coaches Only – Complete the appropriate USA Hockey Age Group Module for the age group you are coaching. Click Here
  6. Coaches Only – CEP – Be USA Hockey certified at the appropriate level – see coaching clinic information at the bottom

Note: Any coach not certified and registered will not be permitted on the ice. ALL COACHES AND INSTRUCTORS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A HELMET WHILE ON THE ICE.  PLEASE BE A GOOD ROLE MODEL FOR YOUR PLAYERS AND SUPPORT USA HOCKEY ON THIS INITIATIVE.

TEAM VOLUNTEERS

Team Volunteers include managers and other responsible adults that work with the team off the ice – this includes locker room monitors.

All volunteers must be registered with USA Hockey for the current season as a volunteer (there is no charge).

Volunteers must complete items 1 – 4 above.
